Key Responsibilities:Develop schematic symbols and PCB component footprints that adhere to manufacturer specifications and Astranis standards. Oversee the management of the component library, contributing to processes and standards to ensure an organized and precise library. Lead the integration between the e-cad library and PLM tools through automated scripting. Collaborate with the design team to create and evaluate library components and footprints. Support the recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding processes for new team members as our team expands rapidly. Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years of experience in ECAD library management with a solid understanding of database principles. Proficient in creating and validating schematic symbols and footprints within e-cad tools, particularly Altium. Experience in scripting and automation processes. Familiarity with PLM software, with preference for Arena. Comprehensive knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly processes. Familiarity with IPC standards, including Class 2/3, IPC-A-610, IPC-7351.

Position Overview: PCB Librarian

In your role as a PCB Librarian, you will take ownership of and enhance Astranis’ Altium components library. You will collaborate closely with design engineers, component engineers, and supply chain teams to create Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts in Altium, while ensuring our parts database is always accurate and up to date. Additionally, you will spearhead process improvements, drive automation efforts, and facilitate the integration of our Altium library with our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
