The Payroll Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in managing the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payroll-related documents, including semi-monthly, monthly, and student time sheets. This position is essential for maintaining precise payroll records and reconciling deductions with monthly billings. The Payroll Operations Specialist reports directly to the Payroll Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and reconcile payroll transactions, including leave time accrual and balance reports.
- Calculate payroll based on employee tax withholding statuses and deduction schedules as requested.
- Update employee withholding information in the payroll system, including tax status and direct deposit details.
- Analyze daily and biweekly payroll reports for accuracy, making necessary adjustments and corrections.
- Investigate pay discrepancies such as underpayments, overpayments, and incorrect payment codes.
- Collaborate with management to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Contribute to the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
