Facilitate the preparation of semi-monthly payroll by incorporating all changes from the pay period, including terminations, new hires, transfers, overtime, and bonuses. Ensure payroll output is thoroughly reviewed, corrected, and balanced.
Process manual paychecks for off-cycle payroll payments, calculating necessary statutory deductions, and updating employee records in the payroll system.
Investigate and configure pay codes in ADP to ensure accurate taxation and earnings reporting.
Issue Records of Employment (ROE) promptly to enable employees to claim Employment Insurance (EI).
Generate payroll reports for the Accounting department to facilitate accurate journal entries.
Balance all earnings at year-end to ensure timely and correct production of T4 slips.
Conduct Payroll and Benefits reconciliations to verify the accuracy of information.
Address employee inquiries related to pay, time off, ROE, and T4 slips.
Carry out regular compliance audits and implement necessary adjustments or proposals accordingly.
