Role Overview

The part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician joins a collaborative emergency care team in San Jose, CA. This role involves working with a variety of cases, from minor injuries to critical emergencies. Technicians work closely with veterinarians and other staff to provide high-quality, empathetic care. Key duties include triage, administering treatments, performing diagnostics, anesthesia, patient monitoring, and delivering critical nursing care. The position offers a chance to apply and expand skills while supporting pets and their families during urgent situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate care to patients and their owners, ensuring support throughout the emergency process.
  • Respond quickly to provide nursing care and emotional support from triage through discharge.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient status, applying expertise in veterinary medicine.
  • Communicate clearly with veterinarians and team members to help develop care plans and maintain smooth service delivery.
  • Perform CPR as a qualified RECOVER professional, with access to ongoing training and a strong network of RECOVER CPR experts on staff.
