To excel in this role, candidates should possess:A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution. An unencumbered professional nursing license. At least two years of professional experience as a registered nurse within the last five years in the relevant instructional area. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required for teaching at specific clinical partner sites. Previous teaching or precepting experience is preferred. A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning. Exemplary subject matter expertise along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. A commitment to serving students and colleagues with respect and care. A strong sense of responsibility to enrich the community and foster educational growth.

Chamberlain College of Nursing is currently seeking part-time Clinical Instructors for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, with opportunities to teach in specialized areas including:

  • Fundamental Nursing Skills: Focuses on health promotion and patient care rehabilitation, where students apply nursing processes in real-world settings.
  • Complex Adult Health: This course covers the care of adult patients with critical illnesses, integrating advanced nursing skills and assessments.
  • Capstone Final Clinical: A transitional course that prepares students for professional nursing through experiential learning and exploration of current nursing practices.
  • Mental Health Nursing: This course addresses the complexities of mental health and wellness, teaching therapeutic communication and community resources.
