To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:High School diploma or equivalent. Must be at least 18 years old. Successful completion of NC Medication Aide testing for Adult Care Homes. Certification as a Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate proficiently in an interdisciplinary care environment with residents, families, and staff. Possess the ability to work in a caring and nurturing environment.

Join our dedicated team at Preston House, a premier Memory Care Community, as a Certified Medication Technician (CNA) on a part-time basis during the 3rd shift. We are looking for compassionate individuals to provide exceptional medication administration and care oversight for our residents.

We offer part-time positions with a requirement of working every other weekend!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive relationships with residents, their families, and fellow staff members.
  • Safeguard and uphold the rights of residents, treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Participate in training and educational programs to meet state-required continuing education.
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of resident information in line with HIPAA regulations.
  • Adhere to the community's dress code to maintain a professional appearance.
  • Document care provided in an accurate and detailed manner.
  • Promptly report any changes in a resident’s condition to the supervisor.
  • Complete assigned tasks as per community policies and procedures.
  • Operate equipment safely, utilizing only those tools for which training has been received.
  • Implement infection control practices in all activities.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of fire and emergency procedures, reporting safety violations immediately.
