About Aviation Institute of Maintenance
Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) has been training aviation maintenance professionals since 1969. With 15 campuses across the country, AIM enrolls 20% of all students in FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) programs in the United States. Each year, nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in America trains at AIM.

Role Overview: Part-Time Aircraft Maintenance Instructor
Join a team dedicated to preparing future aircraft technicians for successful careers. In this part-time role, instructors guide students through the essential skills and knowledge needed for the aviation industry. AIM values educators who are committed to student success and who want to help shape the next generation of aviation maintenance professionals.
Compensation
Pay rate: up to $35.50 per hour.
Schedule Options
- Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Support for New Instructors
AIM provides a comprehensive 5-week new teacher training program to help experienced aircraft maintenance professionals transition into the classroom. This program is designed to support those moving from hands-on technical roles into education.
