Why This Role Matters
As a Paralegal, you will be an integral part of our Legal Function, providing essential support to our international offshore wind business. Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel, you will collaborate closely with legal professionals, as well as corporate, finance, development, and operational teams across various jurisdictions.
The Paralegal role is pivotal in fostering strong corporate governance, managing entities, ensuring efficient contract administration, and facilitating legal operations throughout the JERA Nex bp group.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Governance and Entity Management
Support corporate transactions, including entity incorporations, restructurings, and the implementation of governance practices;
Maintain statutory registers and organizational charts;
Manage Know Your Customer (KYC) and Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) obligations;
Assist the Company Secretary team in preparing board and shareholder documentation;
Coordinate legal formalities, including registrations, publications, and apostilles, while liaising with notaries and external advisors.
Contract Management
Oversee contract administration and related correspondence;
Draft and review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and general terms and conditions;
Maintain contract databases and manage correspondence.
Legal and Administrative Support
Conduct legal and regulatory research to assist the Legal team and business stakeholders;
Acquire publicly available corporate information;
Maintain corporate administration systems;
Support compliance monitoring and initiatives for legal process improvement;
Provide proactive support to the Legal team and business stakeholders on strategic initiatives and corporate transactions.
