We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure we remain compliant with evolving regulations, reinforce our AML/CFT framework, and foster trust with regulators, partners, and clients.Your RoleIn this pivotal role, you will spearhead our local compliance program in Colombia, ensuring we meet both local and international compliance standards. You will stay abreast of regulatory developments, conduct investigations, and serve as the primary point of contact with regulators, auditors, and banking partners.This is a proactive, hands-on position where you will lead KYC/AML investigations, supervise suspicious activity reporting, and collaborate with the risk, operations, and product teams to integrate compliance into daily activities.Your ResponsibilitiesInvestigations: Analyze KYC alerts, biometric discrepancies, and potential fraud using official databases (e.g., Registraduría Nacional, DIAN) and KYC tools (e.g., Jumio, Persona).Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit ROS and other filings through SIREL to UIAF, ensuring timely responses to requests from UIAF, SFC, DIAN, and law enforcement agencies.Transaction Monitoring: Evaluate suspicious transactions, monitor PEP/sanctions/adverse media alerts, and escalate risks as necessary.Process Improvement: Enhance monitoring and reporting controls to identify and mitigate emerging threats.Compliance Culture: Collaborate with internal teams to fortify AML/CFT controls and ensure regulatory requirements are seamlessly integrated into operations.Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and banking partners, ensuring clear and transparent communication.Candidate ProfileEssential Qualifications:Proficient in both Spanish and English.Demonstrated experience with UIAF regulatory reporting (ROS, SIREL).In-depth knowledge of AML/CFT frameworks (SAGRILAFT, SIPLAFT, FATF standards).Prior experience in audits, inspections, and risk assessments with regulators.Expertise in KYC controls (IDs, biometrics, sanctions, adverse media).Confidence in engaging with regulators and external authorities.Detail-oriented, proactive, and hands-on approach.
