The Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in driving new business growth by actively engaging with target accounts through strategic outbound prospecting efforts.

This position emphasizes discovering and connecting with high-value prospects across prioritized industries and accounts, utilizing customized outreach to generate fresh opportunities for the sales team.

In collaboration with Sales and Marketing (especially the ABM & Field Marketing Manager), the Outbound BDR implements account-based outreach strategies tailored to specific target accounts and verticals.

This role is crucial for advancing the company’s new client acquisition and market penetration strategy within designated territories including Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.

Outbound Prospecting

  • Generate new sales leads through proactive outreach methods such as:
    • Cold calling
    • Personalized email campaigns
    • LinkedIn engagement
    • Social media interaction
  • Identify and engage key decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Develop and sustain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects.

Account-Based Outreach

  • Implement structured account-based prospecting initiatives aligned with target account lists.
  • Work closely with the ABM & Field Marketing Manager and Sales to prioritize accounts based on:
    • Industry focus
    • Ideal Customer Profile
    • Market expansion potential
    • Intent signals indicating readiness to buy or engagement
  • Create personalized outreach strategies tailored to each target account.

Meeting Generation

  • Arrange qualified meetings between prospects and the sales team.
  • Ensure meetings are well-qualified and align with the established Ideal Customer Profile.
  • Equip Account Executives with pertinent context for each opportunity.

Market & Account Intelligence

  • Conduct research on accounts to pinpoint potential business needs, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes impacting workplace safety and compliance.
  • Leverage insights to enhance prospect conversations and outreach messaging.

Collaboration with ABM & Field Programs

  • Partner with Marketing on:
    • Account-Based Marketing campaigns
    • Event follow-ups
    • Webinar participation
  • Engage target accounts around marketing initiatives to boost meeting generation.
  • Utilize marketing insights and intent signals to refine outreach efforts.

Performance & Reporting

  • Maintain precise records of prospects and activities within the CRM system.
