Our client is a global professional services firm headquartered in London, with over 15,000 employees in 40 countries. They deliver audit, advisory, and consulting services to clients in both private and public sectors. After a period of significant growth and investment, the firm is reviewing its operating model to improve efficiency, sharpen client focus, and encourage collaboration across service lines. The Operating Model Manager will join the internal transformation team and help lead this change.
Role Overview
The Operating Model Manager will lead workstreams within the firm’s operating model redesign. This includes analyzing current performance, designing future-state structures, and supporting the rollout of changes. The role involves collaborating across service lines and regions to develop recommendations for senior leadership, all aimed at helping the firm reach its strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current operating models across functions and service lines, including process mapping, cost analysis, and benchmarking.
- Design future-state operating model frameworks, covering structure, governance, shared services, and technology integration.
- Build business cases for proposed changes, outlining costs, benefits, risks, and implementation needs.
- Work with HR, Finance, and Technology teams to implement approved changes.
- Prepare clear, structured deliverables for review by senior leadership.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in management consulting, organizational design, or an internal transformation role, including direct work on operating model design.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex organizations and create evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience leading high-level workshops and producing board-ready deliverables.
