As an Occupational Therapist at Positive Development, you will play a vital role in our therapeutic team, collaborating closely with Speech Language Pathologists and Mental Health Clinicians to deliver an exceptional developmental, trans-disciplinary approach.

We are on the lookout for a passionate, joyful, and growth-oriented Occupational Therapist to enhance our dynamic team in Bethesda, Maryland & Capitol Hill, Washington D. C.!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of each child's assessments and documentation upon intake to assess their current needs.
  • Perform initial Occupational Therapy evaluations in collaboration with the Senior OT Clinician as required.
  • Work alongside the clinical team to develop tailored treatment plans that include specific occupational therapy goals.
  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services using a developmental approach to help autistic children achieve their goals and strengthen their developmental foundations.
  • Continuously monitor and document each child's progress, maintaining accurate session notes in their Electronic Health Record and communicating updates with other team members, including parents.
  • Engage actively in team meetings and benefit from ongoing supervision.
  • Provide mentorship and support to new Occupational Therapists as they join our team.
