QualificationsMaster’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution. Current New York Occupational Therapist license or eligibility to obtain one. NBCOT certification required. Proficient in clinical documentation and time management. Experience in outpatient, inpatient, Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), or home health settings is preferred; new graduates with strong fieldwork will be considered.

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000 per year

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered therapy aimed at helping individuals regain essential skills for daily living. In this role, you will collaborate with patients to enhance their ability to perform self-care, manage home tasks, and ease their transition back into the workplace through personalized treatment plans and education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients and document results accurately.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional goals and patient needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions focusing on Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), upper extremity rehabilitation, balance, and coordination.
  • Educate patients on safety strategies, fall prevention, and reintegration into daily routines.
  • Recommend and instruct patients in the use of adaptive tools and assistive devices.
  • Maintain effective communication regarding patient progress and treatment plan adjustments with the care team and referring providers.

Ensure timely and compliant documentation along with accurate billing support notes.
