About the job

Join us in an exhilarating frontier of technology where we are revolutionizing the data storage landscape. At Pure Storage, you will be empowered to think innovatively, grow alongside industry leaders, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the field.

This is the type of transformative work that the tech industry was built upon. If you’re poised to embrace limitless opportunities and make a significant impact, we invite you to be part of our journey.

THE ROLE

As an NVMe/SSD Qualification Engineer, you will serve as a vital link between raw NAND silicon and high-performance storage solutions, ensuring our DirectFlash Modules (DFM) uphold stringent enterprise reliability standards. You will create Python and C++ frameworks that rigorously test firmware at scale, converting complex telemetry into actionable insights that pave the way for mass production. Collaborating with firmware architecture and hardware teams, you will steer the validation strategy that shapes the future of data storage.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Architect Automated Qualification Frameworks: Design and expand Python and C++ testing infrastructures that facilitate drive-level qualification, ensuring firmware stability across performance, endurance, and reliability metrics.

  • Validate NAND & Firmware Ecosystems: Develop automated processes to stress-test critical features—including media management, wear leveling, and ECC behavior—translating raw validation data into product-readiness dashboards.

  • Drive Root Cause Analysis: Lead the technical investigation of complex failures across NAND and firmware layers, utilizing logs and telemetry to identify issues and collaborating with architecture teams to implement permanent resolutions.

  • Engineer Data Pipelines: Build and maintain high-integrity data collection systems that capture system logs and performance metrics, providing essential visibility for final General Availability (GA) sign-off.

  • Evolve Test Strategy: Continuously enhance qualification methodologies to adapt to the evolving technological landscape.
