About 1X

At 1X, we are pioneering the future of work by developing humanoid robots designed to collaborate with humans, addressing labor shortages and enhancing productivity. Our flagship NEO humanoid is transitioning from a prototype to full-scale production, and we need skilled builders who possess the mindset of engineers, the agility of operators, and the troubleshooting skills of owners.

The Role

As an NPI Engineering Technician, your role transcends mere assembly — you play a critical part in propelling our prototype into full production.

You are a proactive, detail-oriented contributor who:

  • Detects when a system is not performing optimally
  • Identifies potential tolerance issues before they escalate
  • Utilizes your experience to troubleshoot electrical anomalies
  • Works efficiently without compromising quality

Collaborating closely with our mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers, you will construct, test, iterate, and validate hardware as designs progress. Your keen observational skills, practical intuition, and commitment to safe experimentation will be pivotal in shaping product quality and accelerating production timelines.

This position is perfect for a talented electromechanical builder — someone who may not have a formal engineering degree but possesses a high level of system awareness typical of engineers.

About 1X

1X is at the forefront of innovation, creating humanoid robots that seamlessly integrate with human labor to tackle workforce challenges and foster a more abundant future. Our technology is designed to enhance productivity and efficiency in various sectors.
