Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related discipline). A minimum of 2 years of experience in high-precision assembly, manufacturing, or design engineering. Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes, including mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics (experience in the semiconductor industry is preferred). Familiarity with complex mechatronic systems such as linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, and control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with an aptitude for root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Proficient in interpreting and updating technical drawings; cleanroom experience is a plus.

Role Overview

As a NPI Engineer at NTS Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in guiding new products from the design phase all the way to mass production. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that our manufacturing processes meet high standards of quality and efficiency, resulting in timely product launches. Your commitment to excellence will be key in developing robust manufacturing processes in a high-precision cleanroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives from design through pilot build to mass production.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets while effectively communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) and provide constructive feedback to design teams.
  • Document, optimize, and develop manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality control procedures.
  • Support pilot builds and production ramp-ups, resolving manufacturing issues through structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Engage in risk assessments such as FMEA and ensure adherence to all quality and regulatory standards.
