CGS Federal is actively seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Network Engineer to become a vital member of our team. This role is centered around the assessment, enhancement, and upkeep of an expansive network project, which integrates both wired and wireless network infrastructures along with related hardware and software components. The primary objectives of the project include evaluating the current configurations of diverse networks and crafting a comprehensive network infrastructure that addresses both wireless and wired needs alongside software requirements. The role will also involve providing guidance on the necessary hardware and software to support this extensive infrastructure, as well as conducting systems testing, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance to ensure successful implementation.
As a Network Engineer at CGS Federal, you will collaborate closely with state and local government personnel, internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and vendors who will assist in development services.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and manage NPS network infrastructure;
- Enhance infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities via network management software;
- Create, maintain and deliver comprehensive documentation related to the network infrastructure within the NPS environment;
- Review and recommend best practices for the architecture, design, management, and operation of the network infrastructure;
- Administer the Cloudpath onboarding process, monitor and troubleshoot wireless network health, maintain wireless infrastructure, and implement network security patches and updates during business hours;
- Evaluate the NPS network infrastructure and provide recommendations for enhancements and optimization;
- Define and execute testing procedures for new infrastructure implementations.
