Qualifications
Network Engineer I:0-2 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Network Access Control systems (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, FortiNAC, Forescout). Understanding of Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Zscaler). Knowledge of network devices including switches, routers, wireless controllers/APs, proxy servers, VOIP, and NTP services. Proficient in deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell). Experience in delivering network documentation such as IP plans, network templates, cable tables, network diagrams, ports/protocols documentation, and configuration guides. Possession of Security+ or CISSP certification and at least one relevant industry certification (CCNA/DevNet Associate). Must be a U. S. citizen. Network Engineer II:3+ years of relevant experience. Demonstrated experience with Network Access Control systems (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, FortiNAC, Forescout). Experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Zscaler). Hands-on experience with network devices such as switches, routers, wireless controllers/APs, proxy servers, VOIP, and NTP services. Proficient in deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell). Ability to produce network documentation, including IP plans, network templates, cable tables, network diagrams, ports/protocols documentation, and configuration guides. Possession of Security+ or CISSP certification and at least one relevant industry certification (CCNA/DevNet Associate). Must be a U. S. citizen. Network Engineer III:7+ years of experience in the field. Expertise in Network Access Control systems (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, FortiNAC, Forescout). Extensive experience with Next-Generation Firewalls (e.g., Cisco Firepower, Palo Alto, Zscaler). Advanced knowledge of network devices such as switches, routers, wireless controllers/APs, proxy servers, VOIP, and NTP services. Expertise in deployment automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python, PowerShell). Exceptional skills in creating network artifacts like IP plans, network templates, cable tables, network diagrams, ports/protocols documentation, and configuration guides. Possession of Security+ or CISSP certification and at least one advanced industry certification (CCNA/DevNet Associate). Must be a U. S. citizen.

Sigma Defense is on the lookout for skilled Network Engineers (I-III) to play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of the U. S. Navy's enterprise networks. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of high-availability networks in both shipboard and laboratory settings, from initial installation to continuous maintenance. You will engage with Department of Defense initiatives including SD-WAN, IPv6 Migration, Zero Trust Networks, and Cross-Domain Network solutions. Collaborating closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Cybersecurity, Systems Management, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance, you will gain insights into the system's requirements and help shape the network's specifications.
