Responsibilities:Conduct radiographic testing (RT) on various components, assemblies, and materials to identify and assess defects. Interpret and evaluate radiographic images according to relevant codes, standards, and procedures. Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency. Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address nonconformities and suggest improvements. Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, including radiation safety guidelines. Assist in the development and maintenance of NDE procedures and processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer specifications. Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians when required. Minimum Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Role Overview

Vast is hiring a second shift NDE Level II, RT Level II Technician to join the team in Long Beach, California. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Supervisor, NDE. The technician will help develop critical systems for designing and building artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations. Projects will involve work at the edge of current technology and human achievement.
