Responsibilities:Conduct radiographic testing (RT) on various components, assemblies, and materials to identify and assess defects. Interpret and evaluate radiographic images according to relevant codes, standards, and procedures. Set up, calibrate, and operate radiographic equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency. Generate detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of findings. Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to address nonconformities and suggest improvements. Adhere to and enforce all safety protocols, including radiation safety guidelines. Assist in the development and maintenance of NDE procedures and processes. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and customer specifications. Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians when required. Minimum Qualifications:Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

About the job

Vast seeks a second shift NDE Level II, RT Level II Technician for its Long Beach, California facility. This full-time, non-exempt role reports directly to the Supervisor, NDE. The technician will contribute to the development of systems essential for designing and constructing artificial-gravity, human-rated space stations.
