Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping detailed plans and specifications for innovative designs or adaptations of the Anduril Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicles (XL-AUVs). Conducting simulations and analyses of vehicle structures, including global and local structural assessments, as well as modal and spectral response analysis. Performing hydrostatic stability calculations for both submerged and surfaced vehicles. Engaging in mechanical design, prototyping, and construction of intricate structures and mechanisms. Ensuring compliance with all internal and external maritime standards in all designs. Serving as a subject matter expert in areas related to Anduril’s technological capabilities, including part design, analysis, loads development, material selection, structural sizing, and FEM analysis, with a focus on both metallic and composite materials. Inspecting vehicles for structural integrity, overseeing construction, maintenance, and repair of structures to ensure adherence to design specifications and regulations. Supporting the testing of vehicle buoyancy, trim, and stability. Designing and implementing integrated systems, including advanced platforms and payloads, to rapidly deliver capabilities exceeding current systems, with a clear evolutionary path for architecture and functionality.
