Your Role and Responsibilities:
As the Mobile Platform Tech Lead, you will be pivotal in fortifying the technical framework of our mobile banking application, ensuring it is secure, high-performing, reliable, and scalable to meet evolving customer and product demands. You will lead a dedicated mobile platform team and collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and compliance teams to uphold exceptional technical standards within our React Native ecosystem and its associated native integrations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Mentoring the mobile platform team, offering technical guidance, coaching, and effective prioritization of platform initiatives.
- Establishing, executing, and maintaining engineering standards focused on mobile security, observability, performance, resilience, and release quality.
- Being a hands-on technical leader in developing and maintaining shared mobile platform capabilities using React Native and TypeScript.
- Collaborating on architectural decisions regarding React Native, native modules, and integrations across Kotlin, Swift, Objective C, and Java.
- Working alongside product feature teams to ensure smooth release processes that meet quality benchmarks and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Enhancing automated testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to bolster confidence in release quality.
- Improving mobile engineering workflows through enhancements to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment processes.
- Overseeing production incident management and release activities, ensuring timely resolutions and effective communication.
- Collaborating with design and product teams to refine and maintain shared UI components, platform standards, and mobile design system capabilities.
- Implementing and continuously improving mobile observability tools, analytics, logging, and exception monitoring to support stability and informed decision-making.
- Championing secure application development practices and facilitating compliance within a regulated banking environment.
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities to enhance platform stability, developer productivity, and the long-term maintainability of the mobile application.
