Join the team at Matthews Kia of Schenectady as a Military Veteran Automotive Technician and embark on a fulfilling journey in the automotive service industry. We are actively seeking skilled military veterans to become part of our Kia Certified Service Technician program, supported by the Kia Veterans Technician Apprenticeship Program (VTAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair Kia vehicles, ensuring high-quality service for engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical components.
  • Efficiently complete repair orders and warranty requests in alignment with Kia's policies and procedures.
  • Conduct test drives and utilize Kia diagnostic strategies, advanced tools, and equipment to analyze, diagnose, and address vehicle issues.
  • Perform services and repairs promptly, collaborating with the shop foreman and service advisor to enhance the customer experience.
