Education: Candidates must possess a B. A/B. S. degree from a regionally accredited institution and meet at least one of the following criteria:Hold a valid teaching credential in the subject areaEligibility for a Provisional Internship PermitEligibility for a Short Term Staff PermitRequired Skills:A strong commitment to the mission and vision of KIPPA dedication to being an anti-racist educatorA belief that all students can achieve high academic standardsStrong content knowledge in mathematicsExcellent relationship-building skills with students, families, and communitiesEffective communication skills with students, families, and colleaguesProficiency in Google Suite applications (Google Classroom, Docs, Sheets, etc.)

About the job

As a Math Teacher at KIPP Public Schools Northern California, you will be instrumental in actualizing the academic and cultural aspirations of our institution. Your responsibilities will encompass daily lesson planning, thoughtful curriculum design, and consistent data analysis aimed at fostering student learning and development. You will also integrate Social Emotional Learning practices and Restorative Practices to cultivate a joyful and inclusive classroom environment.

Collaboration and Support: You will collaborate closely with the school’s Leadership Team, including your Instructional Coach, to ensure that all students are progressing academically. This partnership will involve weekly meetings and regular feedback to enhance our instructional methodologies.

Continuous personal development will be encouraged to reflect on your identities and experiences, shaping our collective growth as educators and leaders.
