About the Role
We are on the lookout for a dynamic Mid-Market Sales Manager or Director to spearhead our mid-market revenue initiatives. In this influential role, you will serve as a player-coach, guiding a team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives (BDRs) in promoting LlamaIndex to fast-growing businesses. You will take charge of pipeline generation, deal execution, and team development, establishing a high-performance culture and building systems that transform individual contributors into a well-oiled revenue-generating machine.
Responsibilities
Recruit, onboard, and nurture a team of 5–6 mid-market AEs and BDRs.
Drive team pipeline goals, forecast accuracy, and Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) achievement.
Conduct structured deal reviews, coaching reps through discovery, qualification, and closing processes.
Develop and maintain a robust outbound engine utilizing OSS community indicators, Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) segmentation, and BDR-AE collaboration.
Lead a weekly operational rhythm including pipeline reviews, one-on-ones, call coaching, and forecasting discussions.
Participate actively in live deals as a player-coach to unblock opportunities and enhance closing rates.
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate technical advantages into compelling messaging for sales representatives.
Provide well-structured market and customer insights to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.
Represent LlamaIndex at industry events, enhancing our visibility within the developer and AI ecosystems.
