Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field plus four (4) years of relevant experience in structural design of buildings and transportation structures, or demonstrated equivalent experience/education. Proficiency with ETABS or SAP, Revit, and Microsoft Excel is essential for this role. U. S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer (PE) License in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of employment. Experience with software such as ETABS, SAP, RAM Structural, AutoCAD, SAFE, TEDDS, SAP2000, MathCAD, SpecsIntact, spColumn, spBeam, spWall, and Enercalc. Master’s degree in Structural Engineering. Six years of relevant experience is preferred.

AECOM is on the lookout for a dedicated mid-level Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Boston, MA. In this role, you will conduct site visits to observe and report on construction activities, address field inquiries, and effectively coordinate design and construction challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing moderate components of a larger project under the guidance of a senior engineer.
  • Collecting and analyzing fundamental engineering data using established protocols.
  • Engaging in detailed engineering assignments that involve calculations and straightforward tests.
  • Proposing solutions to new challenges by adapting standard methods and procedures.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in engineering outcomes.
  • Providing mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Delivering tasks aligned with project budgets and timelines with minimal oversight.
  • Independently managing essential design elements for engineering projects.
  • Conducting site visits to monitor construction processes and effectively address field-related questions.
