Role Overview Trinetix is seeking a Java & DevOps Engineer to join the remote team in Ukraine. This Level 2 support role focuses on resolving complex incidents within our fleet operations platform and driver management systems. Incidents typically require code-level investigation, configuration changes, or deployment actions when Level 1 support and knowledge base resources are not enough. The position calls for hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline management and troubleshooting AWS serverless environments. Main Responsibilities Investigate and resolve advanced application incidents related to fleet and driver management platforms. Debug code, modify configurations, and deliver minor engineering fixes (up to 80 hours per issue). Deploy and verify updates in both production and non-production environments. Perform root cause analysis for escalated tickets, document findings, and update ServiceNow knowledge base articles. Monitor CI/CD pipelines (Tier 1) and carry out remediation tasks (Tier 2). Troubleshoot AWS serverless infrastructure, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS issues. Assist with server restarts, log diagnostics, and health checks across environments. Participate in weekend release activities several times per year. Technical Skills Required Java: SpringBoot, JBoss; ability to read stack traces, identify root causes, and apply fixes or workarounds in production. Databases: Oracle 11g, MS SQL Server; capable of writing diagnostic queries and stored procedures. AWS: Lambda, RDS, S3, DynamoDB, Kinesis, CloudWatch; hands-on troubleshooting experience. DevOps: GitLab CI/CD, Docker; review pipeline status, execute deployments, and perform rollbacks. Observability: Datadog; skilled in log searches, alert triage, and navigating service maps. Operating Systems: Linux; proficient in log reading, service management, and basic shell scripting. IT Service Management: ServiceNow; adept in ticket handling, maintaining work notes, and managing escalations with SLA awareness. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Node.js or JavaScript for back-end components. Basic understanding of Kubernetes. Familiarity with Android or iOS mobile app support.
