Key Responsibilities
Enhance Product Performance: Identify and resolve issues in our robotic arms and grippers to improve reliability and user satisfaction. Utilize Solidworks to implement design improvements that boost durability and assembly efficiency while managing costs.
Root Cause Analysis: Apply engineering principles to diagnose system failures. Develop and implement effective solutions to prevent reoccurrence through comprehensive root cause investigations.
Lifecycle Optimization: Oversee and extend the lifecycle of our robotic systems with strategic upgrades and modernizations, ensuring seamless integration of new components.
Documentation Excellence: Maintain detailed documentation, including BOMs and assembly procedures. Suggest and execute process improvements for enhanced production efficiency, managing updates in PDM/PLM systems.
Collaborative Engineering: Engage with design engineers, manufacturing, procurement, and other teams to optimize products and processes. Actively participate in team discussions to resolve engineering challenges.
Testing and Validation: Assist in creating test plans and executing validation tests, including functional and durability assessments. Collaborate with technicians to set up tests and gather data effectively.
Failure Investigation: Analyze test failures using structured methods like fault trees and 5-Whys. Document findings and lead corrective actions to ensure solutions are verified through retesting.
Design Change Verification: Ensure that sustaining design changes are thoroughly validated, including regression tests to confirm no adverse effects on performance or safety.
Reliability Improvements: Leverage test and field data to identify reliability trends and implement data-driven enhancements.
