About the job
Atomic Semi is building a compact, efficient semiconductor fabrication facility in Austin. The team develops its own manufacturing tools, combining existing technologies with practical simplifications to enable rapid iteration and improvement. With a focus on owning the full stack, from atomic structures up to architectural design, the company brings together engineers from mechanical, electrical, hardware, computer, and process backgrounds.
The lab is equipped with advanced 3D printers, a wide selection of microscopes, e-beam writers, and general fabrication tools. This setup supports inventing and refining systems as needed. Atomic Semi was founded by Sam Zeloof, known for his DIY chip-making work, and Jim Keller, a veteran of the semiconductor industry.
