HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEEDBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required; a degree from an ABET-accredited program is preferred. At least 2 years of relevant experience is required. EIT/FE certification in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Proficiency in engineering design software applications (e.g., Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus) is necessary.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Your projects will encompass new construction and renovations across diverse sectors such as education, healthcare, corporate commercial spaces, and science and technology.
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Assist in the design of piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems under the supervision of a licensed engineer, contributing to plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
  • Utilize modeling software to prepare building load calculations with oversight.
  • Support energy model preparation using appropriate software under guidance.
  • Create Revit/BIM models for HVAC systems during all phases of construction documentation, including layout, sketches, and detail drawings, with necessary supervision. Contribute to Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as required.
  • Assist in editing specifications for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Conduct research and address emerging issues as assigned.
  • Draft reports for review by professional engineers.
  • Help gather information to respond to RFIs and prepare construction documents, including change orders.
  • Perform site visits to confirm existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may involve physical on-site walkthroughs.
  • Coordinate specific project activities as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
