HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEEDA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required, preferably from an ABET accredited program. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required. EIT/FE certification in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is a plus. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Proficiency in engineering design software applications (i.e., Revit, Trane Trace, or Trane 3D Plus) is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As part of our dynamic, multi-disciplinary team, you will collaborate under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Your projects will encompass new construction and renovations across educational, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology sectors.
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design uncomplicated piping and select equipment for HVAC systems in building design under the mentorship of a professional engineer, including support for plumbing and fire protection designs as needed.
  • Conduct Building Load Calculations utilizing modeling software, while working under supervisory direction.
  • Assist in preparing energy models with appropriate software parameters, subject to supervisory oversight.
  • Develop Revit/BIM models of HVAC systems throughout the construction drawing phases, from schematic design to construction administration, ensuring accuracy in layout, sketches, and detail drawings, with required supervision. Also, support Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as necessary.
  • Contribute to editing specifications related to both existing and new projects.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Conduct research on assigned topics and respond to emergent issues with timely solutions.
  • Draft reports for review by a professional engineer.
  • Assist in gathering information to address RFIs and review change orders during the preparation of construction documents.
  • Participate in job site visits to validate existing conditions and monitor construction progress, which may require physical walkthroughs of the site.
  • Coordinate specific activities related to particular project elements.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
