HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEEDA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering is required, with preference for degrees from an ABET accredited program. At least 4 years of relevant experience is required. EIT/FE certification in the United States is preferred. LEED accreditation is preferred. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Proficiency in engineering design software applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team, working under the guidance of a licensed engineer. Your projects will include new constructions and renovations across various sectors, including education, healthcare, corporate commercial, and science and technology.
 
HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design ductwork, piping, and select equipment for HVAC systems in building design, working independently on smaller projects and under supervision for more complex assignments. Assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection designs as needed.
  • Calculate heating and cooling loads, and layout and design ductwork and piping using energy modeling software.
  • Create Revit/BIM models for construction drawings of HVAC systems, from schematic design to construction administration phases, including layouts, sketches, and detailed drawings. Perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems as necessary.
  • Revise specifications for existing or new projects.
  • Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
  • Review shop drawings for compliance with specifications and contract documents.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and project team members by attending Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
  • Conduct independent research as needed and address emergent issues.
  • Gather information to respond to RFIs and review change orders in preparation for construction documents.
  • Perform site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress, often requiring a physical walkthrough of the site.
  • May supervise activities of less experienced staff.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.
