Hinge Health is on the lookout for a talented Mechanical Engineer II to join our dynamic Hardware Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the design and development of our next-generation hardware products. As a mid-level engineer, you will tackle a range of projects, focusing on mechanical designs for advanced medical devices that are highly integrated. You will collaborate across various teams, including electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing, to successfully transition products from concept to production.

By joining our Hardware group within the broader R&D organization, you will be part of a highly skilled, motivated, and compact team where your ideas and contributions are valued.

What You'll Achieve

  • Create intricate device assemblies and manufacturing fixtures using 3D CAD, integrating components like PCBAs, batteries, and connectors.

  • Rapidly prototype and test using various technologies (3D printing, machining, etc.)

  • Engage in all phases of product development, from exploration and prototyping to detailed design, testing, and scaling for mass production.

  • Work closely with electrical, firmware, and senior mechanical engineers on system architecture and integration.

  • Maintain design quality and adhere to medical device regulatory standards through clear documentation and thorough testing.

  • Assist manufacturing and sustaining engineering by optimizing designs for cost reduction and enhanced manufacturability, supporting process or test development, and aiding in failure analysis.
