Position: Design Engineer (Mechanical)
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: Minimum 2-4 years in mechanical design and development.
Purpose: Engage in product sustenance activities within the CES R&D team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design products including connectors, panels, enclosures, patch cords, wall plates, I/O cables, and cable management systems.
- Execute engineering tasks such as engineering change management, customer drawing creation, CAD data migration to PDM, and converting legacy 2D data to 3D.
- Develop engineering and product specifications, and manage engineering documentation.
- Prepare project schedules and collaborate with supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to meet time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Conduct DFMEA analysis for design modifications and new designs.
- Participate in engineering calls to provide project updates.
- Keep the cross-functional team informed of project status and updates within the SPS system.
- Assist fellow engineers with design, documentation, and engineering tasks.
- Engage in Lean activities as assigned.
- Pursue continuous improvement in all areas.
- Ensure compliance with Molex policies and procedures.
- Support company focal points as necessary.
- Undertake any other projects assigned by management.
- Possess knowledge of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Experience in risk mitigation and project delegation, allocation, monitoring, and execution.
- Conduct quality checks on designs for errors and defects.
- Act as a problem solver.
- Provide technical training to teams as needed based on expertise.
Leadership Skills:
- Skilled in conflict management.
- Competent in appraisal processes for direct reports.
- Experienced in crisis management.
