About the job
The Mechanical Cabin Integrator plays a vital role in the physical and functional integration of the interior subsystems for the A220 program. This position ensures technical coherence between the aircraft structure (fuselage) and the interior modules (galleys, seats, lavatories, bins, etc.).
As a key liaison, you will collaborate with structural teams, equipment suppliers, and the final assembly line to ensure compliance with all specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies before detailed design phases.
- Develop high-level integration concepts including architecture, interfaces, and layout.
- Identify technical, industrial, and scheduling risks associated with various options.
- Assist in selecting and pre-dimensioning technical solutions.
- Participate in identifying and pre-selecting potential suppliers.
- Prepare decision-making summaries (trade-offs) for the program.
- Create 3D integrations using CATIA V5 of cabin components within the complete aircraft environment.
- Define and manage mechanical interfaces (fixing points, supports, brackets) between primary/secondary structures and interior fittings.
- Integrate elements into the Digital Mockup (DMU) of the aircraft, conduct clash detection, and verify functional clearances as well as assembly tolerances.
- Validate installation plans and interface control documents.
- Ensure that equipment meets the A220 program technical specifications (weight, dimensions, flammability, ergonomics).
- Provide immediate technical support to the assembly line (FAL).
- Support certification teams (stress, occupant safety, flammability).
