To excel in this role, you will need:A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Experience with ERP/MRP systems (S/4HANA preferred) and proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics tools is advantageous. A proven track record of problem solving that enhances quality, delivery, and cost efficiency. Leadership training or experience demonstrating the ability to lead cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications such as APICS or ISM are preferred. Additionally, prior experience in the ink industry will be considered an asset.

Join INX International Ink Co. as a Materials Manager at our Charlotte, NC facility. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and manage the flow of materials into, within, and out of designated plants and associated warehouses. Your efforts will be crucial in controlling purchasing practices to enhance production efficiency and maintain optimal stock levels. As the Materials Manager, you will coordinate with the shipping department to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of goods, supporting the service levels of our plants. Additionally, you will take charge of inventory management, leading physical inventory and cycle counting initiatives while promoting awareness of critical performance metrics for continuous improvement.

  • Maintain and review SAP material master data to ensure compliance with INX policies.
  • Implement effective material delivery and replenishment strategies aligned with the master schedule.
  • Prepare and submit material requisitions and inventory reports as necessary.
  • Oversee all Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) processes for procured materials.
  • Manage cycle count programs and annual physical inventories.
  • Adopt best practices for purchase order management and overall inventory health.
  • Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure proper stock rotation and management.
  • Keep track of warehouse space to effectively schedule material handling activities.
  • Work alongside supervisors from various departments to synchronize material flows.
  • Monitor inventory aging and collaborate to minimize non-turning inventory.
  • Establish strong relationships with suppliers and maintain high visibility of material flows.
  • Generate timely purchase order requisitions and address any supplier performance issues.
  • Engage with department supervisors regarding overdue materials and provide status updates.
