Role Overview
The Marketing Automation Technical Lead shapes and delivers data-driven marketing technology solutions across multiple channels. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into technical solutions, covering everything from data processing to customer engagement. Acting as the primary link between business, marketing, and technical teams, the Technical Lead ensures campaigns are executed smoothly and objectives are met from planning through delivery.
What You Will Do
- Lead end-to-end delivery of marketing technology projects, ensuring quality and timely completion.
- Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and solution designs.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders from business and technical backgrounds throughout each project.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to clarify project scope and requirements.
- Coordinate across multiple teams to align efforts and ensure successful implementation.
- Prioritize and manage tasks in a delivery-focused environment with shifting demands.
- Analyze data and campaign performance metrics to recommend improvements.
- Keep up with new technologies and trends to enhance solution effectiveness.
Requirements
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in marketing automation, especially in data-focused settings.
- History of implementing and scaling marketing automation within complex organizations.
- Experience leading technical delivery or implementation projects.
- Skilled at managing multiple systems that require data orchestration for marketing.
- Hands-on work with both on-premise and cloud-based database environments.
- Experience with batch and real-time data processing for marketing applications.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of marketing automation platforms, such as enterprise campaign management tools.
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation.
- Familiarity with system integration methods, including APIs and data pipelines.
- Experience with data environments across both on-premise and cloud platforms (e.g., enterprise databases, cloud infrastructures).
- Familiarity with reporting and dashboarding tools.
- Basic programming knowledge is a plus.
