Role overview
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports Anduril Industries’ production operations on the 2nd shift. This role centers on troubleshooting Linux-based systems, hardware, and networking issues for the Altius platform. Working hands-on, the technician responds quickly to technical problems, aiming to keep manufacturing running smoothly and minimize downtime.
Collaboration is key in this position. The technician partners with Production Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to resolve technical challenges, document solutions, and escalate complex issues when needed. There is also the chance to contribute to process improvements by developing tools, scripts, and documentation for future troubleshooting.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver real-time technical support for Linux-based production systems during manufacturing.
- Diagnose hardware, software, and networking problems using diagnostic tools, including logs and network traffic analyzers such as Wireshark.
- Investigate and resolve recurring issues, including system failures, connectivity problems, and compatibility conflicts.
- Create and update troubleshooting guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for common technical issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to escalate and address complex technical challenges.
- Use Bash scripting and other programming tools to automate and improve troubleshooting processes.
