About the Role:
We are in search of a detail-oriented and collaborative Manufacturing Engineer to join our Small Machining Group. This key position will focus on developing and optimizing machining process routings, ensuring effective integration with other manufacturing processes, and fostering teamwork to enhance production efficiency.

Your Impact:

  1. Routing Process Development:
    Create and maintain comprehensive machining process routings, detailing operations, cycle times, and work instructions. Collaborate with design and process engineers to ensure alignment with product specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
  2. Cross-Functional Coordination:
    Work closely with fellow Manufacturing Engineers to ensure smooth integration of machining processes with upstream and downstream operations (such as welding, assembly, and finishing). Coordinate with design engineers to address manufacturability concerns and recommend design improvements for enhanced machining efficiency.
  3. Process Optimization:
    Analyze machining workflows to identify areas for improvement and eliminate bottlenecks. Collaborate with engineers to implement Lean Manufacturing principles and share best practices across the engineering team.
  4. Tooling and Equipment Coordination:
    Assist in coordinating tooling and equipment requirements to ensure efficient machining operations.
