Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize manufacturing processes for components related to robotic mobility and control, including actuators, drive units, and precision mechanical parts. Manage comprehensive manufacturing workflows, including fixture design, CAM programming, tool selection, and quality inspection methods. Implement automation and lights-out machining strategies for seamless production with minimal human oversight. Drive initiatives to enhance process efficiency, aiming to reduce cycle times and improve the reliability of robot hardware. Collaborate with design engineers on part geometry and materials to ensure manufacturability throughout the production phases. Oversee change management and product design revisions for scalability and consistency in production. Act as a technical liaison among design, machining, assembly, and quality assurance teams for specific components. Support build technicians and operators by maintaining current work instructions and operational procedures. Implement statistical process control (SPC) and quality monitoring practices to ensure high-quality standards. Troubleshoot production challenges including tolerances, tool wear, and assembly variability. Design efficient factory layouts and workflows optimized for speed and flexibility. Engage in new product introductions (NPI), managing prototypes and ramp-up phases of production.
