What You Bring to the Table:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience managing engineering teams and 7+ years in designing complex mechanical products, preferably within human interface devices or robotics. In-depth knowledge of mechanical design, materials selection, manufacturing processes, CAD modeling, and prototype development. Demonstrated experience executing development projects in heavily regulated environments; familiarity with FDA QSR 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and other medical device regulatory standards is a plus. Strong project and program management capabilities with a proven record of delivering products on time and within budget. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams and leadership levels. A passion for solving complex engineering problems and driving innovation.

Our Future Forward team is a dedicated, cross-disciplinary group focused on pioneering surgical robotics technology. We are looking for a Managing Staff Mechanical Engineer to spearhead mechanical engineering initiatives for groundbreaking robotic capital equipment designs in an exciting new clinical application.

  • Oversee all stages of mechanical design, from prototype development through testing and validation, ensuring the delivery of robust and reliable products.

  • Manage cross-functional projects, balancing scope, schedule, budget, and risk to meet ambitious development objectives.

  • Contribute to the identification and execution of strategies for product development, regulatory submissions, and intellectual property creation.

  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement within the team and across departments.

  • Act as a vital technical resource, resolving intricate design and manufacturing challenges while integrating inputs from various disciplines.

  • Present team progress and risks to senior leadership, ensuring clear and proactive communication.
