Our new global headquarters is located in the iconic Breuer building at 945 Madison Avenue, New York City.THE ROLEAs a pivotal member of the European Private Sales leadership team, you will drive the profitability and performance of the London Private Sale business while spearheading strategic initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with the private sales leadership team to articulate, develop, and implement strategic initiatives aimed at expanding the UK private sale business, including exhibitions, innovative sale formats, and digital initiatives focused on key clients and artists.Drive revenue growth by sourcing and selling blue-chip Modern and Contemporary Art pieces, with a focus on works valued at over $1 million. Work with Client Development to identify priorities, strategies, and action plans for both existing and prospective clients.Oversee the European Private Sales Manager and Client Liaison.Collaborate with peers from the Global Private Sales team to execute the strategic plan for 2022 and beyond.Engage in major auctions, guiding clients through Sotheby’s galleries, producing and executing bids on their behalf, and providing exceptional post-sale service to successful buyers.Enhance visibility within the broader art community by attending significant art fairs, exhibitions, and museum openings.IDEAL EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIESOver 12 years of experience in the art industry.Expertise in contemporary art at a first-class level.Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining flexibility across diverse tasks.Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.Commitment to delivering an exemplary level of service.
