Role Overview: Manager of Recruitment & People Operations

This role leads both Recruitment and People Operations at Virgin Management. The focus is on shaping human-centered experiences for candidates and employees, while making smart use of technology, automation, and AI. The Manager will guide a small team, refine processes, and support the growth and development of people across the organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a compact, high-performing team covering recruitment and people operations.
  • Simplify and improve People Operations processes, ensuring they are seamless and enjoyable.
  • Shape the Talent Acquisition strategy, blending personal interactions with technology-driven solutions.
  • Deliver standout candidate experiences, including hiring for senior leadership roles.
  • Use data and experimentation (including AI tools) to continually improve practices.
  • Partner with leaders to coach and enhance the people experiences they create.
  • Engage with the wider Virgin network to share ideas and foster innovation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Significant experience in Recruitment, People Operations, or both, with interest or exposure to the full people lifecycle.
  • Drive for innovation, always looking to improve, simplify, and challenge established ways of working.
  • Background in leading, coaching, and developing others, especially in environments that value autonomy.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and bring people together.
  • Comfort moving between strategic planning and hands-on work.
  • Resilient and energetic, maintaining momentum even when faced with challenges.
