Role overview

The Manager of Embedded Systems leads a team of electrical and firmware engineers working on PAX hardware products. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, this position combines technical leadership with hands-on involvement in embedded system architecture. The manager guides the team through design, debugging, and validation of electronic systems, while also coaching and mentoring engineers.

What you will do

  • Direct the design and development of electronic systems, including both hardware and firmware, for PAX cannabis devices.
  • Manage electrical engineers and firmware developers through all phases of product creation, from initial design to production. Encourage growth and collaboration within the team.
  • Oversee engineering documentation, such as schematics, PCB layouts, and software source code.
  • Lead performance validation for products developed both internally and externally, and develop internal tools for testing performance and reliability.
  • Promote disciplined design practices to deliver innovative, high-performing products on schedule.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support overall product success.
