About the job
Role Overview
Relativity Space designs and builds rockets to meet today’s launch needs and tomorrow’s ambitions. The Terran R vehicle is engineered to deliver customer payloads to orbit, supporting the growing demand for launch capacity. Commercial success with Terran R will pave the way for new advancements in science and exploration.
Relativity’s culture values autonomy, ownership, and direct impact. Team members work on challenges that have never been solved before, contributing to the development of rockets, manufacturing processes, and the business itself. Collaboration across disciplines is central, with every role, from propulsion to avionics, helping to shape decisions and drive visible results. This is a chance to influence not only the product but also the processes and culture as Terran R takes shape.
About the Avionics Team
The Avionics team manages the full lifecycle of Terran R’s nervous system. This includes designing, manufacturing, testing, installing, and operating the hardware that connects and controls every major electrical system on the rocket and on the ground.
Engineers on this team work closely with colleagues in design, manufacturing, and testing to enable rapid iteration and feedback. The group partners with propulsion, GNC, fluids, and stage engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance across the vehicle.
Joining now means helping to define the core avionics architecture for Terran R and taking responsibility for components that will fly.
