Role Overview: Manager, External Affairs

The Manager, External Affairs will lead external affairs activities for one of Checkout.com's key markets. This position shapes and protects the company’s reputation and is central to how Checkout.com is viewed by regulators and government agencies.

Reporting into the Legal, Risk, and Compliance department, the External Affairs team covers regulatory affairs, public policy, government relations, and licensing. The Manager will work closely with all parts of the business and serve as a trusted advisor to local leadership.

What You Will Do

  • Drive external affairs strategy in a major market for Checkout.com
  • Represent the company in discussions with government bodies and regulators
  • Collaborate across business units to align policy and regulatory approaches
  • Advise local executives on public policy and regulatory issues

Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience handling regulatory affairs, public policy, or government relations
  • Comfort working in high-pressure situations and solving complex problems
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence at senior levels within a business
