About the Position
As a Machine Maintenance Technician at Base Power, you will be at the forefront of our battery production operations, ensuring optimal performance of our equipment. Your responsibilities will include conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and developing your ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams. You will also keep meticulous records of your work and manage inventory of parts and supplies while adhering to safety protocols in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) on industrial production machinery
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions
- Support corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Acquire skills in reading and interpreting schematics, technical diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Maintain thorough documentation of work performed and assist in tracking inventory
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely in a factory setting
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, or electrical fields, or relevant technical training/apprenticeship
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical (conveyors, motors, actuators) and electrical systems (AC/DC circuits, sensors, wiring)
- Proficient in utilizing basic hand tools and diagnostic instruments
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn about advanced systems (robotics, PLCs, automation)
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, or climb as needed
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety
