Qualifications:4+ years of experience in AI, data science, or predictive modeling, demonstrating expertise in managing complex analytical technology and client-focused projects. A Master's degree or higher in Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Proficient in statistical modeling with at least one programming language, particularly Python, and experienced with distributed computing frameworks (AWS); familiarity with large-scale data analysis using Spark (pySpark preferred) and model development using Python or SAS. Experience with generative AI tools and rapid prototyping of innovative concepts. Understanding of model risk management/governance processes, regulatory considerations, and advancements in large language models (LLMs).

Join our Analytics Services Team at Experian Software Solutions, where we drive innovation in advanced analytics and generative AI for decision-making, fraud prevention, and identity verification worldwide.

As a Machine Learning Scientist, you will leverage your expertise to design, build, and implement state-of-the-art machine learning and generative AI solutions at scale. Your role will merge deep data science knowledge with ML and data engineering skills to deliver robust production models, prototypes, and platform enhancements. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate global product launches, client implementations, and drive early adoption initiatives. You will report directly to the Director of Data Science and Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with data scientists to enhance and productize additional analytics solutions.
  • Ensure the successful execution of production code within the Ascend platform to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
  • Work with Engineering, Research, and Data Science teams to design and implement machine learning models, dashboards, ad hoc analyses, and AI applications on a cloud-native big data platform (AWS).
  • Partner with leaders, analytic consultants, engineers, account executives, product managers, and external partners to introduce impactful solutions to our diverse client base.
  • Develop advanced machine learning solutions and prototypes to glean insights from varied structured and unstructured data sources, documenting and presenting findings effectively.
  • Utilize generative AI tools and model development frameworks to create new models and deploy generative capabilities, including prompt engineering and model evaluation.
  • Produce high-quality production code following software engineering best practices, ensuring reliability and reproducibility.
  • Communicate methodologies, assumptions, performance metrics, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating intricate concepts into actionable insights.
  • Design and implement advanced algorithms to tackle complex problems across supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methodologies.
  • Contribute to the evolution of features and platforms by gathering feedback from clients and teams, prioritizing enhancements within Experian's ML and AI ecosystem.
