Internship Overview
The Machine Learning Engineering Intern will join the applied machine learning and operations group. This role focuses on real-world challenges, contributing to the development and improvement of models that influence industrial systems and decision-making. Interns work alongside engineers and domain experts, gaining hands-on experience in building and deploying machine learning solutions in production-like settings.
Main Responsibilities
- Work on a defined machine learning project with clear deliverables for the internship period.
- Develop and test models using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar frameworks.
- Analyze real-world datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support the development of data pipelines, feature engineering, and model evaluation workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to understand system behavior and constraints.
- Run experiments, validate outcomes, and iterate based on findings.
- Document progress and present results and key learnings at the end of the internship.
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong grasp of machine learning fundamentals, statistics, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Hands-on experience through projects, coursework, or previous internships is a plus.
