About the Role

The Logistics and Asset Lead plays a crucial role in managing the complete logistics and asset lifecycle operations for our hyper-scale data center infrastructure. This position is vital for ensuring precise inventory management, effective material flow, and robust support for data center operations through the coordination of receiving, shipping, asset tracking, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee comprehensive asset tracking from receipt through decommissioning, including asset tagging, labeling, and data entry into asset management databases.
  • Manage the receiving and shipping processes for equipment, components, and materials, ensuring verification of quantities, damage inspection, and real-time tracking updates.
  • Conduct regular cycle audits and physical inventory counts to maintain over 99% accuracy, proactively addressing stock shortages to facilitate build, repair, and deployment activities.
  • Quickly and accurately fulfill parts requests from data center technicians and engineers while maintaining organized staging areas for deployment, break-fix, and project materials.
  • Collaborate with vendors to process RMAs, warranty claims, and equipment replacements; coordinate security escorts for third-party vendors and delivery personnel.
  • Generate inventory reports, metrics dashboards, and analytics regarding performance, turnover, and obsolescence while documenting processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
